Maineville Lighthouse Church

 

          Bernie's Place is an adult homeless shelter in South Lebanon which provides emergency housing and food for up      to 14 individuals at a time.  Members of Maineville Lighthouse Church first began our relationship with them in 2011.  On the first Monday of each month, one of our 5 teams (consisting of 2 people each) provides a meal for the current residents.

 

          For several years, on the second Tuesday of each month, our Bible Study group met at the church at 7:30 pm, then went to Bernie's Place to share fellowship and the Gospel.  Since the Covid pandemic, we have been limited to supporting them in other ways.

 

          We also collect items for Bernie's Place based on recommendations from the staff.  Their needs are as follows:

• Shampoo

• Toothpaste

• Toothbrushes

• Razors

• Shaving Cream

• Deodorant

• Cleaning Supplies (Lysol spray, etc.)

• Laundry Detergent

• Small Notebooks

• Pens

​

Many members of our church are involved with this outreach project.  We see it as an opportunity to spread the Word by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of others.
