Cincinnati Children's Hospital
This mission at Maineville Lighthouse Church started out in 2012 as a community service project by one of Lana Gerber's students. The members of our congregation got behind it then and have kept it going ever since with their generous donations.
Pajamas for long-term patients are in constant need at Children's Hospital. Wearing pj's rather than standard hospital gowns helps give children a sense of comfort and makes it seem more like they're at home in bed, rather than in the hospital.
If you would like to get involved and donate, here are the guidelines:
-
All sizes are accepted - infant to teen
-
Pajamas may be print or solid color
-
Must be brand new, never worn, with tags still attached
-
Must button or snap in the front (to allow them to be put on and removed easily and make room for tubes, etc.)
The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The Lord
is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1 (NIV)
