From the

Parsonage...

From the Parsonage…

I am so happy to see spring! I love the way nature

reacts to the warmer weather. The grass starts to grow,

flowers begin to sprout, buds appear on trees, and

animals, that have cuddled in their dens and shelters

during the winter, are frolicking in the welcome sunshine. It’s like they’re all waking up from a long nap and experiencing a new birth! “God’s in His heaven - All’s right with the world.” (Robert Browning)

And all this activity doesn’t stop with nature. I don’t know about you, but I definitely have the same cycle! Winter is a resting time for me, a time of less activity and more desire to sleep. The cold, gray days just don’t inspire me to do much at all, let alone start anything new. But once the sun warms the earth, my energy level goes up, and I’m filled with fresh ideas for the days ahead!

Some of these ideas center around the parsonage, specifically, landscaping and flowers, but many of them involve the ladies of the church and a desire to provide them with more opportunities for fellowship and growth. This was kicked off with the extremely successful Magic Pie Crust Class taught by Myrna Sams in March. In line with this, I’d love to have input and help from other members in the months ahead.

Currently, plans are being made for the following events: April – “Truth Over Lies” Ladies’ Bible Study & Fellowship starts Thursday, April 4, at 10 am; May – Mother’s Day Tea is set for Saturday, May 4, at 11:30 am; July – Ladies’ Picnic Luncheon (hosted by Helen Ledbetter and the WOW Group) will be on Sunday, July 21, at 2 pm.

In addition to the new events listed above, don’t forget the Busy Bees Craft Group meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 10 am and the WOW Group goes to lunch on the 4th Sunday of each month right after the worship service. All ladies are invited and welcomed at these existing fellowships.

Wow! And I didn’t even mention other April events like Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Annual Easter Egg Hunt, “Road to the Cross” Mini Cantata, Easter Breakfast, and Easter Morning Service! It really does look like spring is waking Maineville up to new beginnings!

Blessings,

Dona

the cooing of doves is heard in our land.”
