Pastor Eric Minamyer and and his wife Debbie

Pastor Eric

Pastor Eric was born June 26, 1953 and baptized as an infant in the Evangelical United Brethren denomination, which was founded as a German speaking version of Methodism and merged with the Methodist Church in 1968.

He was admitted to practice law in 1979 and was also a naval officer from 1977 to 2004. Politically, he served as a Congressional Aide, eighteen years as an elected official and an appointed official of the Taft Administration in Columbus.

He served as Chaplain of many organizations over the years and eventually felt the call of the Holy Spirit to become a pastor.  He started this ministry here at Maineville Lighthouse Church in July, 2023.

Debbie

Debbie was born on September 8, 1951 and grew up in Blue Ash, Ohio.  Her parents were very strong in their faith, so church was a big part of her life.  They attended Lockland Christian Church where Debbie was baptized by immersion in 1960.

After graduating from Sycamore High School, Debbie began a career in Orthodontics.  Most of the 40 plus years of her career was as a lab technician making appliances for patients. She continued the career until retiring in 2015.

Eric and Debbie were married on November 14, 1998.  They are a blended family with Eric's two daughters and Debbie's three sons.  Their children are all grown and their lives have taken them to Michigan, Virginia, and Maine, with one son here in Cincinnati. Sadly, Eric’s oldest daughter, Jennifer, passed away last July.

Over the many years of her church life, Debbie enjoyed working with the youth as a Sunday school teacher, nursery organizer and VBS volunteer.
