Dear Lighthouse Church,

Our Vision Statement calls for doubling our membership and average Sunday attendance in the next few years. To achieve this, we must focus on Maineville and Hamilton Township’s growing population. Joshua Hayden’s "Remissioning Church" provides a practical guide to rediscovering our mission as a community. The transformation of the church into a vibrant place of discipleship is our mission. As Hayden asks: “What kind of disciples is your church making?”
Ethnographic tools can help plan church renewal strategies by identifying groups that may join the church and community issues that can be addressed by the church. Understanding the demographics and ethnic background of current and potential members can refine our message and services.
Hamilton Township has a population of 31,292, with 62% aged 18 to 64 and 15% over 65. The median household income is $121,281, with 2% living in poverty. 60% are married, with an average household size of 2.9 individuals. There are 11,399 housing units with an average value of $317,800. Education statistics show 97% are high school graduates or higher, 45.4% have a bachelor’s degree or higher, and 15% have a post-graduate degree. 6.4% are veterans, and 68.2% are employed. The population is predominantly white (27,352), with smaller numbers of Black (650), Hispanic (962), Asian (591), and mixed-race (1,688) individuals. The projected growth rate for 2022 to 2027 is 1.3%.
Maineville Lighthouse Church is the only Global Methodist Church in Hamilton Township. There is a Baptist Church across the street and a Catholic Church within three miles. The nearest Global Methodist Church is ten miles away. Two nearby United Methodist churches have closed in the last year. If each member sets a personal goal to bring in one family, we can meet our goal. Let’s pray and work together to save more souls in the coming year.
God Bless,
Pastor Eric
